Police ID Man Who Was Gunned Down On Veteran's Day In Maryland

Police investigators in Prince George’s County have released new details about the man who was found shot and killed in Maryland on Veteran's Day.

Hyattsville resident Jose Arroyo Salazar has been identified as the 28-year-old victim who was fatally shot on Friday, Nov. 11, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

At approximately 10 p.m. on Friday night, officers responded to the 1500 block of Madison Street in Chillum, where there was a report of shots fired in the area.

According to police, upon arrival, officers found Arroyo Salazar outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that investigators are still working to identify potential suspects or to determine a motive.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered by the department for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of a possible suspect or suspects.
